The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No. VIII conducted a Pampering Day as part of the 2023 Observance of the National Women’s Month last March 20.

All personnel of DOST8 received free manicure, pedicure, foot spa and massage services. It was emphasized that pampering is an essential part of self-care which has positive impact towards the employees’ mental health and overall well-being.

The Gender Focal Point System headed by the Regional Director, Ernesto M. Granada, together with the Gender Development Unit initiated the said activity with the goal of disrupting the daily routine of the employees in the office. This is to highlight the importance of self-care, as part of the holistic approach to gender equality.
