The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office No.VIII will be celebrating the 2020 National Science and Technology Week in Region VIII via virtual platform on November 9-13, 2020, with the theme "Agham at Teknolohiya: Sandigan ng Kalusugan, Kabuhayan, Kaayusan at Kinabukasan". This event will be showcasing the latest and innovations in the Region through the virtual S&T exhibits, online fora, S&T film festival and technology webinars.

National Science and Technology Week is an annual undertaking of the Department of Science and Technology with the aim of recognizing the constributions of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) in the country's sustainable development by highlighting several scientific advancements in research and technological innovations.

The celebration of the 2020 NSTW in Region VIII will be conducted online in compliance to the IATF restrictions on social gatherings due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. All activities for this event will be conducted online using virtual conferencing platform particularly via ZOOM. This year's celebration is packed with interesting activities such as virtul exhibits, S&T film showing, online fora and webinars featuring the DOST programs and services, innovations in various fields such as agriculture, health, disaster preparedness, food technology and many others.
