Overview
The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VIII respects and protects the privacy of our data subjects (employees, clients, providers and other stakeholders) in accordance with Republic Act No.10173, or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.This Privacy Policy Statement explains the manner of collection, use, sharing, disclosure, retention and disposal of Personal and Sensitive Personal Information as defined under the law. We shall ensure compliance with the strictest standards of security and confidentiality with respect to all personal or sensitive personal information submitted by our data subjects.

Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information about employees, clients, providers and other stakeholders being maintained, used, processed and/or kept in custody by Department of Science and Technology Region VIII

• Personal information: Recorded information about a living identifiable or easily identifiable individual.
• Sensitive information: Personal information about an individual's race, ethnic origin, marital status, age, color, and religious, philosophical or political affiliations.
