The Department of Science and Technology, Regional Office No. VIII through the FY 2017 Yolanda Rehabilitation and Recovery Projects (2017 YRRP) funds intends to apply the sum of One Million Three Hundred Eighty Thousand Pesos Only (PHP 1,380,000.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract of Supply of Materials and Fabrication of Kiosks for DOST 8. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.
The Department of Science and Technology, Regional Office No.8 now invites sealed Bids from Eligible Bidders for 150 sets of materials and fabrication of Starbooks kiosks, and 17 sets of materials and fabrication of Tech4Ed kiosks. Delivery of the GOOD is required on June 1, 2017 or 45 Calendar days from Issuance of Notice to Proceed. The description of an eligible Bidder is contained in Section II of the Bidding Documents, ITB. The descriptions of said ICT Equipments are as follows:

Interested Bidders may obtain further information from DOST-8 BAC and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from March 14- March 31, 2017.
A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested Bidders from the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee in the amount of One Thousand Three Hundred Eighty Pesos Only (PHP 1,380.00). The method of payment will be in the form of cash, postal money order or check, payable to DOST- 8. The Bidding Documents shall be received personally by the prospective Bidder or his authorized representative, or other means of releasing said bidding documents as may be arranged with the DOST-8 BAC but only upon payment of said non-refundable fee.
The DOST-8, BAC will hold a Pre-Bid Conference open to all interested parties March 20, 2017 @ 10:00 A.M. at the DOST-8 Conference Room, Government Center, Candahug, Palo, Leyte.
Bids and eligibility requirements must be delivered to the address below on or before April 3, 2017, 9:00 A.M. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid security in the form of cash, certified check, cashier’s check, bank draft, irrevocable letter of credit, Bid Securing Declaration, bank Guarantee or Surety Bond and in the amount of not less than or equal to 2.5% of the ABC depending on the said form of bid security and as stated in the ITB. Late bids shall not be accepted. Official time is the Philippine Standard Time Clock.
Bid opening shall be on April 3, 2017, 10:00 AM at DOST-8 Conference Room, Government Center, Candahug, Palo, Leyte. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidder or its authorized representative/s who choose to attenf at the address below.
Request for clarifications must be submitted at least ten (10) days before the scheduled Bid Opening.

The DOST-8 BAC reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to annul the bidding process, and to reject all Bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders.
